VSI Releases Its Desktop Anti-Spam Software

DALLAS -- January 20, 2003 -- Virtual Services, Inc., today announced the availability of the Desktop Anti-Spam software package. The DAS application protects the user's computer from intrusive advertising via the built in Windows(R) messenger service. By default this service is turned on with Windows 2000(R) and Windows XP(R). VSI estimates that advertising of this nature will grow at an alarming rate. The software allows a user to turn on or off the messenger service on demand and eliminate the "Pop-Ups" that spamming programs send to user's computers at random from marketing services world-wide.

"We were ourselves annoyed by this type of advertisement so we decided to take it upon ourselves to protect ourselves against it!" said Michael Straub, CEO of VSI. "People all over were asking us if we knew how to stop the annoying message boxes that kept popping up on the desktop when they weren't surfing the web or even reading email. After explaining how to do it many times, we decided to create a simple to use application that does it all for them!"

The Desktop Anti-Spam application is available as a free download directly from the VSI website at www.virtualservicesinc.com.
